Someone who is confident in modern frontend development and excited by the opportunity to work across both content and commerce experiences.This role is hands-on.
You will build structured, scalable solutions using React.js, TypeScript, and Shopify (including Shopify Plus and Headless setups), as well as Sanity CMS.
You will work closely with designers, strategists, and other developers to interpret briefs, deliver best-practice frontend code, and help evolve our technical craft.We are looking for someone who brings energy and ownership to their work, who is thoughtful in their approach, and who is ready to grow as part of a collaborative and high-performing team.Key ResponsibilitiesInterpret technical specifications, wireframes, and flowcharts to develop frontend solutions using React.js, TypeScript, and JAMstack methodologies.Build and optimise front-end architecture for Shopify-powered websites (including themes and headless integrations).Write and maintain reusable, testable, and clean code for web and mobile applications.Construct technical specifications from user stories in collaboration with designers, PMs, and other developers.Debug and test code for cross-browser compatibility and performance.Maintain technical documentation for components and deployment processes.Participate in version control, QA processes, and code reviews using tools like Git and Netlify.Collaborate closely with backend developers, designers, and marketers to ensure project alignment.Contribute to architectural decisions, internal standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.Skills and Experience RequiredStrong JavaScript skills with deep experience in React.js and TypeScript.Experience with Shopify (Liquid templating, theme customisation, or headless builds) is preferred.Familiarity with Sanity CMS, Gatsby/Next.js, and modern frontend frameworks.Understanding of modern development tools and workflows (Webpack, Gitflow, CI/CD).Solid grasp of responsive design, accessibility, and frontend performance best practices.Ability to communicate clearly and explain technical decisions in plain language.A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field; and/orAt least 3 years of relevant experience in a comparable software development role.How We Work at FlightOur values guide the way we work with each other, our clients, and our communities.
