Shepherd General – Rangedale Farm

We’re looking for a Shepherd to join us at Rangedale Farm in a newly created Shepherd role.

If you’re a Shepherd with a bit of experience, a sense of humour, and two to three dogs under good control and you want to join a down to earth team who’ll support your development, we’d like to hear from you.

Rangedale is a 1320 ha hill-country breeding unit which carries 11,000 sheep and beef su and is located 30 minutes from Pahiatua and an hour from Palmerston North.

You will be part of a small three-person team and responsible for carrying out general farming operations. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to get exposure to all aspects of farming in a small but experienced team. In addition to working at Rangedale you’ll have the opportunity to gain experience working at a nearby Pamu farm as the need arises.

Ideally you’ll have the following:

·Experience as a Shepherd
·2-3 dogs under good control
·Experience in fencing and farm maintenance
·First class attitude to Health and Safety
·Understanding and interest in variety of general farm work
·Effective communication skills
·Current NZ drivers’ licence
