About the role
Pacific Insulation is on the hunt for experienced Sheet Metal and Insulation Installers to join their team. This position will see you working on multi-site assignments including interior fit-outs, new building mechanicals, refurb and industrial work.
Responsibilities will include:
Installing insulation material to pipework, vessel or equipment
Marking out metal stock with reference points and lines, using templates, gauges and other measuring instruments
Cutting metal stock along guidelines using hand and power shears, guillotines and drills
Shaping and forming cut metal stock into products using folding and bending machines, rollers, presses and hammers
Fitting and assembling components into final products by welding, riveting, soldering, brazing and otherwise joining
Repairing damaged sheet metal products and components
On-site assembly and installation to pipework, vessel or equipment
About you
To be considered for this exciting position, you must have enough experience to be able to hit the ground running, including:
Minimum 1-year experience in a similar position
Experience in Mechanical Chilled Water and Heating Hot Water insulation is advantageous
Background in construction and working with pipework, ducting or equipment insulation
Sheet metal cladding fabrication and installation experience
Proven verbal and written communication skills
Ability to operate power hand tools
Ability to work in confined space is an advantage
Fit and healthy (this position is physically demanding)
Current Sitesafe BC passport
Able to operate fork hoist
Working at heights (basic) ticket
