You play an integral role in ensuring compliance with all Pact group standard processes and policies.As a member of the local Hamilton based team, you will be a team player, have a willingness to support others where needed and have a can-do attitude ensuring we all achieve together what is required for the group.Your key responsibilities will be to:Complete Balance Sheet reconciliations, including investigation and follow through to resolution any items in the Balance SheetComplete Rise And Fall calculations for assigned Pact Division/s where applicableComplete Month end tasks for various sites including but not limited to accruals, month end calculations and SAP month end settlement.Support half year and annual audit process as requiredReview of Manufacturing Variances for assigned Pact division/s on a monthly basisReview daily exception reports and ensure they are cleared, following up where requiredProject work as required by the Accounting Manager eg intercompany and acquisition accounting projectsOther tasks as requested by the GM Shared Services and Accounting Manager.About youKnowledge and ExperienceExperience with manufacturing standard costing practices such as cost allocation methods and cost sensitivity analysis in an SAP environmentUnderstand the implications business and accounting decisions have on one anotherUnderstands P&L, accounting systems and financial metricsUnderstanding of Capital accounting rules and processesStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with people at all levels in technical or non-technical language, which can be easily understood.Ability to apply effective questioning, communication and influencing skills to understand business issues, develop targeted analysis and insights, and translate insights into priority findingsInfluencing – can bring stakeholders through recommendations by presenting well-reasoned, fact-based propositions and guides business decisionsAbility to work to challenging deadlines in demanding fast paced environmentProactive in identifying and solving complex problems / issuesExhibits a drive for continuous professional development in self and othersAbility to effectively understand and interpret dataIntermediate skills in ExcelAccreditation / Qualification RequirementsTertiary qualifications essential in Finance, accounting, commerce/businessCPA/CA qualification preferred (or working towards this)#J-18808-Ljbffr
