Sewing Machinist

Roll.nzRoll.nzwas established in 2018, initially importing and selling electric unicycles. In 2019 we created theEUC Bodyguard?a protective neoprene cover which we now exported around the world. We are based in the suburb of Maungaraki, looking out over the harbour, with close access to public transport, or free parking if you prefer to drive.
Due to an increasing demand and large contracts for overseas resellers, we are seeking expressions of interest for the position of sewing machinist. Training and mentoring will be given as theEUC Bodyguard?is a unique item to produce.
Working hours/days are negotiable.
About You
The right person will have a positive attitude, sense of humour, strong work ethic, great attention to detail, willingness to learn and excellent communication skills are essential.
Ideally we would like a minimum of 3-4 years experience, however we would look at someone with less experience and the right aptitude.
To be considered for the role you will have;
A willingness to learn new skills and competencies
Attention to detail and high accuracy
Experience in industrial sewing preferred or exposure to production / process lines
Experience attaching fasteners such as zips and hook and loop tape.
The ability to work within a team environment or autonomously.
Flexible, adaptable and prepared to adjust work schedule based on operational and customer requirements
Able to effectively problem-solve and think independently
A willingness to work with heavy material such as Neoprene, Kevlar and pleather.
Knowledge of maintenance and care of sewing or industrial machines desirable
