Are you a dedicated, self-motivated highly skilled mechanic with a passion for agricultural and turf machinery, or do you have a mechanical background and you’re looking for a change in direction? If so, we would like to hear from you.
AGrowQuip NZ Ltd is looking for a person to join our expanding service department, based out of our Pukekohe branch.
This role would suit a top class mechanic who can demonstrate strong diagnostic skills and good all round technical knowledge, and is looking to enhance their mechanical abilities within a supportive NZ owned company.
The successful applicant will also have the following skills and attributes:
Responsibilities:
o Performs diagnostics and repairs on agricultural and turf equipment and established Ag Management Solutions (AMS) products
o Participates in required Service EDUCATE Training programs
o Supports customer clinics
o Reviews and explains any maintenance, repair, or other service concerns directly with the customer and documents on work order
o May promote and sell dealer service programs directly to customers
o May establish and implement effective stocking processes with the Parts Department to maintain the proper seasonal parts inventory in the vehicle
o Maintains current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products
o Maintains condition of mobile service vehicle, trailer, inventory, tools and equipment
o Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
o Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments in a timely manner
o Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties in a timely manner
o Health and Safety is paramount in all environments (company workshop or on client worksites) and all staff must familiarise themselves with the company’s Health and Safety Policy and adhere fully to all client requirements in respect of Site Inductions, Health and Safety Policies
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
o 2+ years of experience performing service repairs
o Ability to perform basic repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment following Technical Manual procedures
o Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems used in the repair of agricultural and turf equipment
o Ability to use basic computer functions
o Ability to operate vehicles and equipment used for diagnostic purposes
o Proficient oral and written communication skills
o Reasonable level of health and fitness
o Qualified Mechanic
o Valid drivers license is required
o Fork lift license preferred
