If you have longed for working at the forefront of the wind energy field, this is an exciting next step on your career path.How to contribute to our visionAs a Service Operations Manager you will be responsible for managing a number of sites in cooperation with your team consisting of technicians and lead technicians who are organized in hub structures within your Service Area of scope.
You will be right in the center of the business acting as the coordinating link between the external stakeholders and customers, site operations and site teams as well as the internal organization and management.You will be part of a Service Portfolio management team consisting of other Service Operations Managers, reporting directly to your Service Portfolio Manager, and work in close collaboration with other Service Portfolio teams across the Nordics.Being successful in the role is made possible and depending on your close collaboration with the core team and the wider APAC organization.
In addition, this includes involvement and daily interaction with the various supporting functions which are in place to serve the needs of your business and together ensure that business targets and KPIs are met.You will ideally be based at the SGRE office in Auckland, but some travel will be necessary mainly to sites within your area but also occasionally for customer meetings, conferences, and workshops.Your areas of responsibility includes:Health and Safety: Your highest priority will be to ensure that your people are working, and staying, safe and healthy and can return home at the end of the day to their families.
As a manager you are also one of the key ambassadors of the SGRE EHS Principles and the Zero Harm Framework ensuring that all applicable company and local requirements and guidelines are implemented and complied with on site and reflected in the daily activities.
You are also the first point of escalation towards sites in all matters concerning environment, health and safety and you speak up whenever you see necessary to enforce compliance.People management and People development: Shouldering the role of line manager and team lead for your site leads and technicians.
Ensuring plans in place for necessary trainings and competency development as well as performance and target reviews.Stakeholder and Contract management: Within the scope of your service contracts, being the main point of contact for your customers and relevant stakeholders.
Reporting of site activities according to contract requirements and local legislation.
Understanding contract and requirements and translating that into actionable plans and identifying relevance towards the KPIs of the business.
Management and reporting of escalations towards internal stakeholders.Sites and Operations management: Ensuring the right site infrastructure is in place and maintained.
Have in place the year-around overview and plans as needed to successfully execute the service tasks taking into consideration such factors as Warehouse, Inventory, Parts & Tools, Fleet, local offices and ensuring the necessary alignments and processes are in place towards the relevant supporting functions and the wider service project teams.Commercial: You have the overall responsibility of Profit/Loss and Cost control and together with your Commercial Project Manager counterpart ensures budgets are in place and updated.
This includes regular internal reporting of status and management of business-critical Risks and Opportunities in accordance with the company business and financial guidelines.What you need to make a differencePassion for renewable energy and a sense for the importance to lead the change.
