In every aspect of our work, we are committed to helping whanau be the best they can be.We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to lead our Phoenix Service in Papakura, South Auckland.
This community-based addiction (AOD) service supports adults aged 18 and over, delivering holistic care tailored to each individual's needs.
Phoenix uses a dual peer support and clinician approach, embracing a whanau-focused model of care that integrates abstinence and harm reduction principles.As the Service Manager, you will oversee the operation of the service, ensuring it aligns with organizational and national standards.
You'll lead a dedicated team of clinicians and peer support specialists, ensuring that tangata whaiora receive person-centered care in the most comfortable setting for them—whether in their home, local community, or elsewhere.Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Provide clinical guidance, supervision, and coaching to clinicians and peer support specialists.Service Oversight: Ensure the service operates effectively, meeting organizational and national standards.Clinical Expertise: Deliver evidence-based AOD assessments and interventions, offering consultation to stakeholders.Collaboration: Work with community mental health teams, GPs, and other organizations to ensure integrated care.Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement opportunities for enhancing service delivery and outcomes.Minimum Requirements:A relevant tertiary qualification (minimum Level 7), e.g.
nursing, social services, psychology.Full registration with the Drug and Alcohol Practitioners Association of Aotearoa New Zealand (DAPAANZ) or equivalent professional body, with current APC.A minimum of 6 years of experience in AOD treatment service delivery.At least 2 years of management experience.A full, clean New Zealand driver's license.High personal competence in professional practice.Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.Ability to work autonomously and be self-directed.Joining Emerge Aotearoa means being part of a supportive team that celebrates successes, big and small.
