About the role
IDEA Services are seeking a clinically trainedRegistered Nurseto be part of the dynamic and committed Hamilton/Waikato South team of Support Workers, Service Managers, and Administrators, who are well supported and guided by an enthusiastic and focused Area Manager.
As aService Manager - Specialty Focus, you will build positive professional relationships with Service Users and their Whanau to understand the support that is needed for individuals with very high and complex needs, be responsible for the day-to-day delivery of quality services by conducting reviews and developing plans, and ensuring Support Workers understand their collective and individual responsibilities to deliver and meet individual care needs.
You will be offered a Permanent Full-Time position (80hrs per fortnight), working 5 consecutive days across a 7-day period (Monday-Sunday), and participation in the on-call roster, an attractive remuneration package, including a work vehicle that is able to be used for personal use, involvement in our internal LEAD program which contributes to achieving a NZ Diploma of Business (Leadership and Management ) Level 5 qualification, and being part of an organisation with a genuine person-centred approach to all we do.
Requirements
Clinical Tertiary Qualification, and 3+ years' clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.
Registration with the appropriate professional body/registration board.
Demonstrated experience and genuine passion in ensuring appropriate services are provided to people who are living with an intellectual disability.
Leadership experience, and the ability to encourage others to ensure required outcomes are met.
Ability to identify improvements to a service, and develop and implement development initiatives.
Recent operational management experience would be highly regarded.
Clean Full drivers licence, satisfactory Police Vetting check, and suitable physical fitness.
If you are a nurse who no longer holds a current practicing certificate, we may be able to support you through a competency programme to regain registration/certification.
