If this sounds like you and you are up to a challenge, keep on reading!
We're looking for experienced service designers to help us deliver our project on time while having fun along the way! We are a passionate bunch of foodies, designers and communicators that work hard and fast in helping improving tools and processes.
These are fixed term full time roles to June 2020 with the potential to go permanent.
We believe that food safety is all about people and food rules should be simple.
About the team | Mo to matou ropu
Our team thrives on direct engagement with New Zealand's food businesses, verifiers, councils, industry associations and clubs, government agencies and MPI staff, through one-on-one interviews, workshops, surveys, testing and consultations. Using customer-centric design we have successfully built solutions for our food businesses who are often small, time poor and may have literacy, cultural and educational challenges. We are especially passionate about helping immigrant peoples who bring a wealth of culture and flavour to New Zealand.
You must have knowledge of, and experience using, design practices such as prototyping, co-designing, journey mapping, service blueprints, creating personas and leading projects from discovery through to implementation. You must be able to collaborate and work with a diverse team with differing skills, experiences and outlooks.
We want to hear from service designers who have a real passion for engaging with customers, understanding their problems and pain-points, and co-designing and testing solutions to improve customer experience.
At MPI we are open to requests for flexible working on hiring. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you need and we will explore what's possible for the role.

In addition, Senior Service Designers will be responsible for:
Leading and managing complex projects, including direction setting, planning, reporting, resourcing and co-ordination of other staff, providing coaching and mentoring support to other staff.
