Sensory Panel Leader
Position PurposeThe purpose of this position is to recruit and run sensory and consumer panels
for the Food Experience and Sensory Testing team.

Accountabilities
?
Develop procedures for the recruitment and training of sensory panellists?
Recruit and train sensory panellists in a range of sensory evaluation
procedures?
Design and run sensory panel sessions for the collection of sensory data
according to commercial briefs?
Set up panel and maintenance procedures?
Analyse sensory data and prepare reports for commercial clients in
association with Food Experience and Sensory Testing (FEAST) team?
Ensure accurate record keeping, and the computerisation and management
of panel data?
Order consumables and equipment when required?
Run additional consumer and sensory product evaluation sessions as
instructed by Director of FEAST, including preparation of reports?
Support recruitment and maintenance of FEAST Expert and Consumer
panels?
Attend FEAST team meetings?
Undertake other duties as requested by the manager
Qualifications and Experience
Qualifications: Applicants should have a minimum of a Diploma in Applied Science (L6) or
equivalent
Basic Food Hygiene certificate is desirable
Experience: ? Working with sensory and/or consumer panels
?
Experience in descriptive analysis
