Senior Valuer – Auckland or Wellington Based

Marsh Valuation Services is a specialist division within Marsh that undertakes the valuation of all asset types including land, buildings, plant, equipment and infrastructure for many of the region’s leading organisations.
In order to support our ongoing growth, we are seeking a registered valuer looking to take on an exciting challenge to further their valuation career. Assisting the practice nationally, you would be undertaking the valuation of assets for many public and private organisations across New Zealand to assist predominately with their insurance and financial reporting requirements.
In joining Marsh you will be working with one of the regions leaders in this space allowing you to forge a career in a growing local practice with regional ties.
Working directly with the Head of Valuations in New Zealand, this role would suit a driven individual that is able to think outside of the box while working closely with multiple stakeholders.

We will count on you to:
Undertake valuations of buildings and land assets across various industries throughout New Zealand both independently and as part of a team. Provide expert advice to clients in developing and adjusting project approaches, methodology, and tools to guide risk programmes and initiatives. Develop and execute strategies to expand successful business/working relationships with clients to grow the portfolio. Building relationships with major clients and internal stakeholders. Grow our brand internally and externally. Meeting client-set project deliverables. Managing clients and client information to assist in completing valuation projects.
What you need to have?
Desire and willingness to learn new skills to complement your existing valuation abilities. Solid stakeholder management, strong interpersonal communication and influencing skills. Experience working directly with clients to meet their project requirements. Level-headed nature and organised under pressure. Degree in Property (or similar). Member of PINZ and NZIV. Willing to travel both nationally and internationally. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong report writing ability. Analytical mindset.
