About the role
As Lead UX Designer, you'll have a direct link and deep understanding of customer needs across Vector’s core interaction channels. You’ll shape the product space by defining vision through end-to-end experience design. A critical tool of yours is data which will drive the improvement roadmap. Initiatives will encompass multiple features and span across teams. You'll set a clear experience vision, work from concept through development, lead other designers and work with cross functional teams to achieve your goals.
What we are looking for
These tasks will be second nature to you and you’ll have a portfolio showing examples of skill and techniques:
Plan and conduct user research and competitor analysis
Interpret data and qualitative feedback
Create user stories, personas, and storyboards
Determine information architecture, run card sorting sessions and create sitemaps
Create low-fi prototypes and wireframes
Conduct / facilitate user feedback sessions
Conduct / facilitate stakeholder workshops / design sprints
Combine UX thinking with design execution, to produce usable and intuitive user interfaces
Collaborate with wider team to evolve and refine our design system, ensuring visual cohesion and engineering efficiency across all user touchpoints
Help build out design processes, tools, and culture
Communicate design solutions to developers, architects and other stakeholders
You will have designed and prototyped elegant solutions for web and mobile apps, you can guide other designers to get outcomes.
Seek to have a deep understanding of user needs
Work within and feedback around brand guidelines
Mentor / coach junior designers / wider team on design
