Senior Technical Sales Representative Watercare Laboratory Services is a leading scientific services provider that delivers a range of high quality analytical and environmental monitoring services to clients in the water and air monitoring fields across New Zealand We have a reputation for producing high quality accredited results and for delivering great customer service The need has arisen for a Senior Technical Sales Representative to join our sales team situated in Airport Oaks Mangere Auckland With a successful track record in a technical or scientific sales environment you will showcase your talent and knowledge to identify and obtain new business for our air quality monitoring business and for our analytical testing laboratory Reporting to the Sales Manager and spending up to 50 of your time in the field were looking for a proactive technical sales person who enjoys being in the field growing networks building relationships and helping us to deliver our sales revenue targets Key responsibilities include New business development promoting Watercares Laboratory Services business throughout NZ establishing new contacts and accounts across industrial and council organisations Supporting the development of sales and marketing plans in new and existing markets and client segments Providing key account management and technical knowledge for chosen clients Generating proposals quotations and tender responses working with the team to provide tailored and commercially effective solutions for new and existing client companies Initiating and contributing to continuous improvement in business performance Ensuring consistent quality service outcomes Requirements for the role BSc degree or equivalent with a broad based general scientific focus covering environmental science or a related science subject is required 23 years experience in a technical sales environment ideally within the environmental monitoring or chemical fields Strong understanding of the ordering tendering and quotation processes in a dynamic working environment Proven and successful cold calling skills relationship building and closing skills Excellent presentation development and delivery skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Initiative selfmotivation and a concern for excellence quality and attention to detail A full clean drivers license and the ability to travel within NZ when required In return Watercare offers a diverse professional team where continual training and development is available A working culture driven by our core values of Respect Excellence Accountability One Team and Make it Happen We also provide a number of healthcare and insurance benefits and the opportunity to be part of an organisation committed to the sustainable management of our environmental resources To apply please provide a current CV and cover letter via www careers watercare co nz
