Senior Technical Business Analyst

You'll be joining us at the start of a large technology transformation, where you will be evaluating business and technology problems from a strategic perspective to support the definition and implementation of optimised, future-focused solutions.
As a technical and confident IT project expert, you will act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams using your analytical and communication skills and deep understanding of both business processes and technical systems.

This is an 18-month fixed-term position.
What a Day Might Look Like

Leverage comprehensive analytical skills and domain expertise to accurately identify both business and technical requirements.
Prepare and facilitate functional and technical workshops and collaborate with MAS Finance, IT, and wider business community teams to gather and translate business requirements into detailed specifications that align with both business objectives and technical capabilities.
Analyse and document business processes, data flows, and system interactions (including API definitions) across multiple MAS platforms.
Be a key point of contact between MAS and vendors, ensuring effective communication and collaboration to maintain strong vendor relationships and achieve desired outcomes.
Work alongside Technology Leads and Architects to support design and help evaluate solution improvements.
Collaborate closely with Developers, Test Analysts, Data Analysts, and Business Analysts to help drive high-quality outcomes.
Facilitate and lead user story refinement sessions with Scrum teams, ensuring user stories are well-defined, detailed, and broken down to the specification level.
Collaborate with stakeholders to clarify requirements, define acceptance criteria, and ensure alignment with project goals and technical feasibility.
Stay across the entire build and test phases and, in particular, assist the Test Team throughout all Test Phases.
What You'll Bring

Previous experience working with payment solutions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment management (e.g., Credit Card, Direct Debits, Direct Credits, others), bank and financial reconciliation processes, invoicing, and receipting.
Proficient in relevant technology for analysis and reporting.
Proven experience as a Senior Technical Business Analyst, preferably in the Financial Services or Insurance industry.
Knowledge of Regulatory Standards (PCI DSS, Security, and Privacy).
Senior level of experience working with Agile methodologies including Scrum, Kanban, and Lean.
Proficient in facilitating agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives.
Strong expertise in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure iterative delivery and continuous improvement.
Expert level experience in Business Analysis techniques to elicit and present information such as Visual Process Modelling, Problem Statements, Data Flows, API Definitions using Open API standards, etc.
High level of experience liaising with and engaging stakeholders across a medium to large-sized business.
