Heartland is looking for a motivated techie to join our growing IT Operations team which is on the precipice of delivering a number of new technologies over a multiyear roadmap, making a real contribution to the wider business and its digital strategy.
Ensuring powerful operation of our in-house ICT systems you’ll implement and optimise all ICT hardware, critical business systems, enterprise applications and operating systems across the Heartland business. You’ll be involved in major upgrades & lead some of these to fruition. You’ll apply your proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help resolve issues and land the best outcome for projects. In collaboration with the Heartland Technology service desk environment, you’ll also provide 3rd level technical services and support for Heartland’s group ICT operations out of Auckland. You’ll join the Technology senior team and deliver strong technical advice across a wide range of technologies and will be looked on to give advice and mentoring to other Heartland systems engineers.

You’re a senior Systems Engineer keen to make your mark, not afraid of taking the lead on Infrastructure projects, technical challenges or large integration projects of a company in acquire mode, incl AD greenfield migrations. Outcomes driven, you’re hungry to deliver the best possible result for your customers. Collaborative by nature, you’re known for being friendly and great to deal with.
You’re a pro:
Significant experience (5+ years) in a Senior Engineering role
Current VMware certifications
Current Citrix certifications
Microsoft Certification aligned to Infrastructure and Enterprise Administration.
Cloud migration experience advantageous
