About the Role
The Senior System Engineer is responsible for providing systems engineering guidance and support to all engineering groups including Research and Development, Industrialisation and Production Engineering. The role requires broad and in-depth knowledge of all systems engineering disciplines, from requirements management through to integrated logistics support encompassing the whole product lifecycle.
The Senior System Engineer ensures that the organisations' engineering processes are fully implemented, and coordinates reviews with various engineering groups and management to ensure compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver the following support related to product delivery:
Routine Engineering Support Services including:Business Analysis
Specification Development
Design Traceability
Verification and Validation
Engineering Investigations
Engineering Change Proposal Development
Engineering Information System Management
Configuration Management Services including:Configuration Management
Configuration Status Accounting
Configuration Auditing
Reliability, Availability and Maintainability Analysis including:Current products RAM analysis
Development products RAM assessment
Future RAM strategies
Support new business development as requested
Work with a team of engineers, across multiple disciplines, to develop complete system solutions
Prepare and maintain systems engineering documentation in accordance with defined standards and EOS operating practices
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Degree qualification in Engineering or similar discipline is essential.
Post graduate qualifications in System Engineering is highly desirable.
Experience within a high pressure product delivery environment.
Experience working with a production team.
Experience as a System Engineer who has worked in multi-disciplinary development environments.
Ability to support and delivery at all stages of the product delivery lifecycle.
Good understanding of logistic support management.
Minimum 7 years in a similar role.
Must be eligible to work on ITAR affected equipment.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Government Security Clearance and hold an Australian passport.
