Senior System Accountant

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior System Accountant to join their large team in South Christchurch. Senior Systems Accountant is to lead the continuous improvement of financial systems, processes and controls to deliver increased value to customers and shareholders. Develop a deep understanding of and be able to provide expert advice on all aspects of the Corporate Finance business unit’s integration
Key Responsibilities
Lead, develop and empower a?high performing?and engaged?team that achieves determined?targets and performance standards
Coach, develop and support?the?team, with a focus on overall team engagement,?retention of key talent?and succession planning
Contribute to relevant Corporate Finance and Business Improvement projects and plan and contribute to their implementation.
Lead and develop the relevant objectives for the Corporate Finance business unit
Lead in planning and implementation of relevant policy and procedures.
Maintain and oversee the appropriate configurations, lists, modules and hierarchies across all Group ERPs where there is a financial accounting impact
Maintaining regular contact with manager to discuss progress and performance, seek feedback and address development areas
Skills Required
Relevant tertiary qualification and CA Qualified
Experience with ERP systems
Commercial experience working with management to analyse and understand financial information.
May have a system audit background.
Significant experience in a similar role
