Structural Leadership role with established multidisciplinary consultancy, based in the sunny Hawkes Bay.
LHT Design is a multidisciplinary engineering design business that has consistently won and delivered first class work all over New Zealand. From 1ha industrial builds to be-spoke lifesaving towers they have a proven track record in delivering innovative, well considered and cost effective solutions.
With a successful track record established over 30 years they now have a unique leadership opportunity with potential for equity and partnership as part of on-going succession planning. This is a key role for the business and the right person will take the lead in conceptual design, structural design, seismic analysis, and detailing for a range of projects to accepted New Zealand and LHT Design standards.
It is expected that the right applicant would be introduced to the existing client base and begin to liaise with clients on an increasing basis while concurrently undertaking design work.You will be confident in undertaking a total project from concept to design to construction working with the client, technical team and contractor to provide a total construction package.
To be considered you will have:
A Bachelor or Masters qualification in Civil or Structural Engineering
7 + years in design led Structural Engineering including concrete, steel and timber structures
A thorough working knowledge of New Zealand engineering design codes and able to effectively apply well accepted engineering principles.
CPEng Structural status with Engineering NZ or approaching
Full project lifecycle experience from feasibility and concept design, to detailed design and delivery.
A truly consultative approach with teamwork and communication seen as key drivers toproject success
Leadership aspirations and an interest in being part of an inclusive team-oriented practice.
Exceptional communication skills including technical reporting and Project Management
