Senior Solicitor - Policy

In this varied and exciting role, you will be playing a pivotal role in ensuring New Zealand's capital markets and financial services sector provide better outcomes for the New Zealand economy.
Key responsibilities:
Deliver consistent and effective regulatory policy advice and expertise
Lead and coordinate engagement with other stakeholders to promote policies and strategic goals
Provide advice and support to the regulatory policy committee
Act as a role model and mentor for more junior members of the team
Take on a project manager/leadership role on larger and/or significant projects where opportunities arise
Key requirements:
Tertiary qualification in law, economics or finance
At least 8 years’ + experience in the financial services and/or public sector environment
Excellent knowledge of laws and regulations relevant to the financial sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Managing and handling confidential information
