Shepherd opportunity on a 4400 ha Pamu farm, 10 minutes north of Mossburn.
Centre Hill Station is centrally located 10 minutes north of Mossburn, 40 minutes from Te Anau and an hour from Invercargill, Gore or Queenstown. This 4400 ha property runs 35,000 su including 20,000 romney ewes and 950 in-calf cows and heifers carrying all calves thro to yearlings and finishing approximately half the lambs with the balance transferred to other finishing properties. The ideal candidate will have the following:
A sound knowledge of modern intensive farming practices
Have excellent pasture management and feed budgeting skills
Be able to keep up-to-date and accurate records
Have a good team of well controlled working dogs
Have good communication skills
Have some computer skills and a willingness to learn new systems
Have a current New Zealand full driver's licence
