The Organisation
A privately owned, successful and growing industrial group with businesses in packaging, chemicals, logistics, and supply chain is gearing up for even more growth in its specialist logistics business which is focused on bulk liquid supply chain management.
The Opportunity
With consistent growth organically over recent years and plans for more, this newly created position of Sales Support/Customer Service Supervisor reporting directly to the General Manager is crucial to the success of the business sales function. Supervising the Customer Service Team and providing some administrative assistance to senior management will keep you engaged, challenged and busy.
Specific responsibilities will include:
The preparation and circulation of pricing notifications to all clients
The preparation of presentations for the Sales team
The management of day-to-day operations and supervision of the Customer Service team
Assisting the General Manager and Director with high-value revenue generating administrative tasks
Order processing, data entry, account management, and some supplier liaison
Assisting with the generation of forecasting and planning reports
Coordination of road freight and other logistics requirements
Other ad-hoc duties and support to the team as required
The Successful Candidate will
Have a finance/accounts/analytical qualification and relevant experience
Proven success with an interest in; data analysis, reporting, invoicing, budgeting and accounts management
Be an effective leader with at least 3 years experience in a supervisory/management role in a Customer Service team that has a strong sales support focus
Be a positive and reliable individual with a friendly, engaging and professional manner that easily contributes to a positive and proactive team approach and culture
Be a really effective communicator, both written and verbal
Have exceptional numeracy and analytical skills
Be very interested in business
Knowledge of MYOB and NetSuite would be advantageous but not mandatory
A logistics background, preferably in manufacturing, would be ideal!
