With an impressive track record delivering complex vertical builds and architecturally significant projects, this contractor has grown steadily over the past decade and continues to secure some of the country's most high-profile developments.Due to sustained growth and upcoming projects in the Canterbury region, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their Christchurch-based commercial team.The RoleThis role suits a confident and experienced Quantity Surveyor with previous Tier 1 or Tier 2 experience, ideally within vertical commercial construction.
You'll be responsible for managing project financials from tender through to final account, while also mentoring junior team members and contributing to commercial strategy.Key Responsibilities: Preparing accurate cost estimates for tenders Full cost control through project delivery Managing procurement processes including subcontractor engagement and contract negotiations Reviewing all subcontractor tenders and contract documentation Contract administration including variations, claims, and progress payments Monitoring profitability and tracking performance against budget Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and subcontractors Mentoring junior team members and supporting the commercial team Requirements 8+ years of quantity surveying experience in New Zealand or Australia Strong vertical build project experience with a main contractor Relevant tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management Deep understanding of NZS3910 Strong attention to detail and proven commercial acumen Ambition to progress into other senior positions within the group   Benefits Senior role with clear pathway to Commercial Manager Opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio of commercial projects Competitive salary package with annual performance bonus Flexible working environment with supportive leadership ContactShould you meet the above criteria and be interested in a confidential conversation contact Simon at Redpath Partners: ******
