This mahi will improve the health and wellbeing of everyone in Aotearoa, and we've got an opportunity for you to be part of it… Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an important role in supporting the Crown in its relationships with Maori under te Tiriti o Waitangi | the Treaty of Waitangi. The government is committed to improving services and outcomes for Maori and strengthening the Crown's relationships with Maori. We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process. We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu. As a Senior Quality Improvement Advisor you will be responsible for overseeing quality assurance and improvement activities across a set of funded services. You will be responsible for providing assurance to the commissioning teams and the public of the quality and safety of funded services across your portfolio and work with clinicians, providers, consumers and whanau to improve health and disability support services. This role is based in the Te Manawa Taki Region made up of Waikato, Lakes, Bay of Plenty, Tairawhiti and Taranaki. You will need to be based in the region. Your location can be discussed at interview stage. Significant senior quality assurance experience in varied environments Understanding and experience within the regulatory environment in which they work. Strong level of confidentiality due to the sensitivity and information handled. Capability building know how. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement in a multi-faceted and demanding environment. Demonstrated experience in the development of high quality and timely quality improvement strategies and initiatives across the NGO sector (or within HSS) Demonstrated experience at developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Maori and Pacific Peoples and groups. Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes.
