Areas of accountability/General and Task Management:
Demand and Purchasing Planning:
Demand planning, plan and schedule the supply of materials, components to meet sales requirement, production requirement and safety stock levels.
Plan, raise and follow up purchase orders.
Day to day order management and management of deliveries: identifying and resolving variances between purchase orders and deliveries and resolving them accordingly.
Assess volume requirements against planning assumptions, forecasts and identify risks and opportunities, via demanding planning, S&OP process.
Implement and measure forecast accuracy as part of the demand planning process.
Develop and implement ATP (availability to promise) tools.
Identify supply, deliveries risks both short term (up to 1 month horizon) and long term (up to 24-month horizon), take follow up, corrective actions and alert risks to management.
Identify and manage risk relating to quality, cost, alert risks to management.
Carry out all planning processes to agreed standards and targets and support continuous improvement initiatives and identify areas of improvement.
Particularly, identify areas for continuous improvement for excel based planning tools, ERP system and other related reporting.
Supplier Sourcing, Selection and Management:
Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase package in terms of quality, price, terms, deliveries and services with suppliers for the portfolio allocated.
Participate in NPD and NPI process, the development of specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
Manage supplier deliveries to achieve desired DIFOT.
Daily manage supplier compliance on quality and required specification.
Generate and communicate material delivery schedules and demand forecasts to suppliers, to ensure they reflect the requirements and meet demands.
Develop and maintain good relationship with suppliers and ensure demand for materials is met and deliveries made on time.
Resolve supplier concerns and evaluate supplier performance in conjunction with members of supply chain team.
Identify supplier improvements and implement improvement initiatives.
Participate and support on the management of procurement budgets and forecasts.
Maintain and update the approved vendor/supplier database.
Create regular statistical reports and analysis to measure supplier cost, quality, and delivery performance and update others in the business.
Monitor inventory levels against agreed target levels.
Support inventory checks to validate inventory levels.
Report and minimise obsolete stock and ensure business is left with minimum liability.
Purchasing Data Management:
Maintain and ensure purchasing data is accurate and up to date and resolve any issues as required.

Health & Safety:
Maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Ensure awareness of H&S policies and processes, hazards and processes and actions. Attend H&S training when required. All staff are required to act as a role model for safe working practices

Essential Experience Qualifications & Capabilities
Minimum 5 years purchasing and planning experience and expertise.
Demand Planning, S&OP experience is preferred.
Supply chain related degree or certification is preferred.
Strong ERP planning experience and strong Excel skills.
Strong relationship management skills and negotiation experience.
Strong analytical, problem solving and organisational skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple projects.
Commercial and financial awareness with a full understanding of how failure impacts the costs, production, manufacture and customer order fulfilment.
Result orientated and organised with the ability to plan and deliver against deadlines.
Excellent attention to detail.
Excellent communicator, able to communicate in a clear, concise way.
