This is a permanent, full-time opportunity for an experienced professional ready to lead, supervise, and innovate.As a Senior Psychologist, you'll make a positive impact by:Providing advice and support for the provision of mental health wellness programmesConducting comprehensive psychological assessments and delivering evidence-based treatmentsProviding clinical supervision to psychologists and consultation within multidisciplinary panelsDesigning and developing assessment and treatment toolsPreparing detailed reports including parole board submissions and psychological adviceBuilding strong partnerships with internal staff, community organisations, and Maori stakeholdersDriving continuous improvement and innovation in psychological servicesSerco is a place for youYou are a self-starter, engaging, approachable, and able to establish and maintain constructive relationships with clients, staff, mana whenua, and external agencies.To be successful in this role you'll have:A qualified, experienced Psychologist with professional registration with the New Zealand Board of Psychologists (General, clinical, or counselling)The ability to integrate theories of mental health (both general and forensic mental health) as well as established frameworks for forensic risk assessment into your clinical practiceA caring nature and commitment to prisoner rehabilitation, excelling at completing risk assessments, providing individual therapeutic counselling, and completing defendable documentationThe highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviourSolid understanding of evidence-based practices in the assessment and intervention of different psychological and behavioural presentationsKnowledge of the social and clinical variables associated with significant offense categoriesDemonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the provision of psychological services and programsQualifications and professional registrationProfessional registration as a Psychologist with the New Zealand Board of Psychologists (general, clinical, or counselling)Must hold a Masters degree in Psychology (minimum)Solid postgraduate experience in delivering individual counseling, ideally within a correctional, welfare, or other institutional settingAre you ready to do important work that really matters?At Serco, we bring together the right people, the right technology, and the right partners to create impactful solutions for some of the world's most urgent and complex challenges.We seek and celebrate diversity and encourage applications from all backgrounds and cultures including Maori, Pacific Peoples, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, LGBTQI+, veterans, and people with disabilities.By joining Serco you'll have access to Employee Networks led by colleagues who are passionate about diversity, inclusion, and belonging.Impact a better future at Serco.
