Digital Systems, the next phase of theMore Trains, More Servicesprogram, will transform Sydneys existing rail network, using world class technology to create high capacity turn up and go services to meet growing demand.TheDigital Systemsprogram will replace legacy signalling and train control with modern, internationally proven, intelligent systems, based around ETCS Level 2 technology. This vital work will boost safety and efficiency, and allow for more frequent and reliable services.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to work with international experts on a Program that will take Sydneys rail network into the 21st century.
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for aSenior Project Manager Tracksideto join the Digital System Programs newly created senior leadership team. You will play a key role in shaping this highly complex and transformative Program that will be rolled out over the next decade.
Reporting to the Director Delivery, you will be responsible for the management of the delivery of the Digital Systems Trackside Packages. You will work closely with key technology suppliers, stakeholders and the network operator/maintainer. These activities will ensure the new system works within the wider Transport network and delivers the Program objectives.
We are looking a proactive professional with extensive project management experience and proven track record managing project teams in complex rail environments. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a clear ability to pre-empt and manage issues. You will have strong communications skills and display a collaborative approach when working with key stakeholders.

Essential requirements
Relevant engineering tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience), significant management experience, and a proven record of on time and on budget project delivery of large scale rail construction works.
Demonstrated ability to engage stakeholders in a complex rail environment.
