Canterbury Health Laboratories (CHL) is the tertiary level medical diagnostic laboratory of the Canterbury District Health Board with laboratory links and collaborative partners nationally and internationally.
CHL is embarking on a critical programme of work, including major system upgrades, vital equipment replacements along with other complex projects, which require an experienced project manager with a proven track record of successfully delivering high profile projects.
The Role:Where you fit in
The Senior Project Manager will work in partnership with the Programme Manager and CHL staff to oversee the operations of projects within the CHL Programme.
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring the execution and management of the functional elements of the projects. This includes meeting deadlines, staying within budget, delegating tasks and completing deliverables.
Specifically the role is responsible for the following:
Leading teams to deliver project outcomes that span across one or more business units
Managing resources, schedules, interdependencies, financials and scope
Adherence to quality management and governance protocols throughout the full project life cycle
Project Risk and issue management
Benefit and stakeholder management
Your skills will include the following:
Strong experience as a Project Manager of large and complex projects
Broad knowledge of Project management methodologies
Ability to think and act strategically
Ability to develop clear direction and plans aligned to vision and goals
Ability to work with a wide range of individuals
Critical thinking and problem solving
Excellent decision making and leadership capabilities
Conflict resolution experience
