Are you an experienced Project Manager and looking to get involved in shaping the future of healthcare? Look no further and come join us at Auckland DHB as a Senior Project Manager supporting our Building for the Future Programme.
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and implementing change projects to deliver the benefits of additional hospital capacity, models of care and ways of working to meet patient demand over the next 10 years. You will be working with our Programme Manager and Director as well as the wider clinical and operational teams.
You will be able to work autonomously and engage clinical and operational colleagues in the change and development programme. Working with the programme board and clinical directorates, you will identify strategies for successfully delivering additional capacity for Auckland DHB over the next 10 years. This will include capital building and different operating models. You will ensure that the patient experience and delivery of high quality care remain high priorities.
To be a perfect match for this role, you are going to be someone who has excellent interpersonal and communications skills as you will be working with a range of people across the organisation to coordinate the programme and related projects.
You will also have:
Excellent organisational skills
Understanding of project management methodologies
Ability to work well under pressure
Good written communication skills, including preparing reports and business cases
Attention to detail
High aptitude and advanced computer skills
Flexible with ability to prioritise tasks
A strong work ethic and the ability to build professional relationships within a multidisciplinary team

This role is a fixed-term until May 2020, part time role working 24 hours per week, based at Auckland City Hospital.
