Tewero – The Challenge
OurInfrastructure and Asset Management department is tasked with looking after Waterand Wastewater Schemes. We alsoadminister District Facilities, Roading and Storm water.
Inthis role you will Responsiblefor the effective project management, including optioneering, detailed design,indicative costs, delivery and handover of the Far North District Council’sWater and Wastewater capital projects. You will embed Council values including responding promptly andcourteously to customer enquiries and present proposals or responses on behalfof Council at public or other meetings.
I akoe – About You
Tobe successful in this role you will have a professional engineering and projectmanagement qualification or at least 5 years’ experience working in anenvironmental management and project management and an understanding of LocalGovernment.
Workingto tight timeframes and budgets will be second nature to you, as will beingable to communicate simply and clearly to everyone from community boards tomembers of the public. This role can bequite hands-on from inspecting facilities to ascertaining the programme ofworks and a current clean Driver’s License is essential. Ideally, you’ll have a background in Prince2and the ‘better business case’ approach.
