Senior Procurement Specialist

About the role
This is a permanent opportunity for a Senior Procurement Specialistto join HealthSource NZ.
As an experienced Procurement Specialist (Senior level) you will be performing a range of procurement activities, including tenders and contract negotiations for IT solutions and services.
Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Undertake needs analysis for procurement initiatives (customer needs analysis and market analysis)
Assist the Commercial Manager develop Category strategies so that commercial and non-commercial benefits and outcomes are maximised, and risks appropriately mitigated
Execute the Procurement Category strategy, including the development and drafting of all associated documentation ( tenders and commercial contracts and renewals)
Develop and maintain effective relationships with DHBs and healthAlliance at all levels to foster and encourage collaboration
Analyse the structure and business and cost drivers of key markets, industries and suppliers
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
5+ years commercial or procurement experience
5+ years proven negotiation and contract management experience
Experience with total cost of ownership / whole of life costing models
Sound understanding of Procurement processes
Excellent relationship management skills with a proven ability to build and maintain effective business relationships in a complex environment
Demonstrable analytical skills
