Reporting to the Team Leader Procurement, this key role will help embed new practices and change, to ensure a fit-for-purpose procurement strategy is defined and implemented. It includes providing expert advice to the wider organisation, on procurement and contract-related matters. You'll ensure that procurement becomes more strategic and proactive with an accurate understanding of the contractual landscape.
Working collaboratively across the organisation we anticipate this role will ultimately contribute to a "centre for excellence" within the Canterbury region and contribute towards a more effective and efficient Environment Canterbury.
The indicative salary range for this role is $95000 - $105000 depending on skills and experience. This role is full-time and will be based at Tuam Street, Christchurch.

Contribute toward our effective, strong, & valued relationship with all Papatipu Runanga within the Canterbury rohe and Te Runanga o Ngai Tahu Analyse and interpret complex project data and information Engage & work across the business to raise awareness of procurement, contract management and supply chain guidelines Responsible for the All of Government (AoG) contracts Develop training programs for the business, refine existing training, & assist in delivering tailored training sessions In this role, you'll ideally be qualified to a graduate level in a relevant qualification. You'll thrive in a dynamic and diverse organisational setting, contributing to the development and integration of Vendor Governance practices. You'll play a key role in nurturing ongoing relationships across various stakeholders while providing valuable guidance.
Your ability to engage and sustain relationships with suppliers, managers, government agencies, and cultural groups will be essential. As a natural collaborator, you'll influence others and navigate negotiations with ease.
