Our Permissions Teams process these applications and help to ensure that activities occurring on public conservation land are undertaken in a manner that protects the values of the land and complies with the legislation.As a Senior Permissions Treaty Advisor, you will provide advice to Permissions Advisors and decision makers to ensure we are giving effect to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi.
You will also contribute to the development of operational policy and best practice in relation to the Treaty of Waitangi, as well as identifying training needs and working to a consistent national approach to train and mentor staff.The work is varied, with each application very different from the next.

The salary range for this position is $79,656 - $100,639, with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory – this includes holding a valid work visa that covers the whole period of employment.
