The OpportunityTe Whatu Ora – MidCentral is seeking an experienced Senior Payroll Officer to join their team and take a lead in the day to day administration, maintenance, reporting and operations of the payroll system.Previous experience in a high-volume payroll position is highly desirable but not essential. An understanding of relevant employment legislation and both individual and collective agreements is also desirable.Key responsibilities include:Take a lead role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of all payroll transactionsRecord payroll entries in compliance with policies and proceduresCollaborate with the team and other departments to address payroll inquiries and resolve payroll related issuesMaintain up to date and accurate records of payroll transactionsTo excel in this role, you must have exceptional attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle high workloads effectively.
