Opportunities within our Model Assurance Team (MA) provide challenging career roles by conducting model validations across a wide variety of models and tools, together with supporting ASB model and tool owners with various model risk management activities or tasks. The MA team contributes to best practice by operating to a structured process, which in turn produces great outcomes for our internal and external customers.
About the Role:
ASB is highly focused on lifting our organisation's risk awareness and capabilities to ensure we remain the industry leader for the management of model risk. Due to an increased demand for our specialist services, we currently have several Senior Analyst role available. This diverse team was established to lay the foundation of a strong model risk management culture at ASB.
We operate as an independent COE function, in accordance with the three lines of risk accountability model (3LOA) to deliver bank wide assurance resulting in better customer outcomes and regulatory compliance. Key activities include independently validating ASB models and tools in accordance with ASB Model Policy, regulatory and banking standards and collaborating with your stakeholders by providing guidance and advice on model risk management.
Key Requirements:
Strong SQL, VBA and technical analytical skills to deliver policy compliance
Outstanding verbal communication and report writing skills
Ability to build and grow effective working partnerships
Knowledge of banking and business analytics alongside audit and/or risk systems and processes
Tertiary qualification in mathematics, finance and/or risk management
Model building or validating experience
Audit or risk management role 3+ years' experience
Change management experience is essential
Experience of credit, operational risk, compliance or regulatory frameworks in a financial services organisation is preferable.
