The Role
Our Asset Management Team has a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Asset Mechanical & Electrical Engineer to oversee, monitor and perform assessments of asset condition to enhance Auckland Transport's asset renewal, maintenance and upgrade decision making.
In this vital role, you will develop and publish an annual, three year and ten-year renewal works rolling programme for all mechanical and electrical assets within public transport facilities as well as supporting the administration of asset management contracts and integration of all reporting and monitoring systems.
It is essential that you have the ability to form close working relationships with other technical specialists and engineers across AT as well as externally, enabling collaboration, cross-skilling and development while supporting key projects and initiatives.
To be considered for this role you will have:
A tertiary qualification is required coupled with experience as either an electrical or mechanical engineer with a focus on buildings and a thorough understanding of its mechanical systems.
Experience in asset management and engineering preferably with experience/exposure to public transport asset networks.
Experience in the inspection, investigation, monitoring, assessments and compliance requirements.
Knowledge and understanding of how assets perform, deteriorate and fail, and how they can be protected, maintained and repaired.
Experience in the development and alignment of levels of service for budgets and organisational objectives.
Experience in the development of programmes of work.
Experience in asset based risk management.
Minimum of 3 years' experience in managing contracts and managing the delivery of contract outputs including monitoring KPIs.
Good knowledge of BIM, BMS, SAP, SCADA and other related building management asset systems.
Has an appreciation of the workings and functions of local government, including statutory requirements and AT's future business drivers.
Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
