The role | Te tunga
As the Senior Manager - Support & Ingestion, you will provide core support and guidance to Collection Operations, focusing on ingestion and operational functions such as logistics, system administration, field staff health & safety, and training.
You will also manage relationships with large external stakeholders.
You will take a proactive and collaborative leadership approach, ensuring that Collection Operations meet its objectives through shared accountability and strategic focus.
In this senior leadership role, you will drive efficiency, effectiveness, and high performance within your business unit, delivering results on time and within budget.
You will also play a key role in advancing Stats NZ's strategic priorities.
This role suits someone who can bring:

Experience managing, motivating, and developing a multidisciplinary workforce and harnessing employee talents at all levels.
Strong (5+ years) managerial experience in operational management and leading complex projects or programs.
Ability to manage relationships across all organisational levels and build strong partnerships.
Skill in fostering a high-performance culture that balances wellbeing with delivery, operating calmly in high uncertainty, and supporting others to do the same.
Proven success in driving change and innovation.
Analytical, conceptual agility and experience with complex issues.
Knowledge or interest in Te Tiriti, Tikanga, Te Reo, Te Ao Maori, and engagement with local Iwi.
