Senior Manager / Manager, Intellectual Property Management, I&ESenior Manager / Manager, Intellectual Property Management, I&ETo gear A*STAR up for the innovation-driven economy set out by the Research Innovation & Enterprise 2025 Masterplan, a new Enterprise Division ("Enterprise") is being established in late-2020. Enterprise will further strengthen A*STAR in generating economic and societal impact for Singapore. Importantly, Enterprise Division will provide coherence to A*STAR's RCA, licensing, and venture creation efforts. It will drive A*STAR's companies strategy and companies portfolio management. Enterprise will also play a national role in terms of grants administration, over-watching national platforms like DxD Hub, and the Aerospace Programme, among others. It will be the focal point to drive Innovation & Enterprise (I&E) within A*STAR, as well as actively support I&E efforts in the wider ecosystem. The candidate is required to:· Perform patent, literature and internet prior art searches and search analyses.· Prepare and deliver patentability and IP due diligence reports.· Evaluate technology disclosures to determine the best mode of IP protection.· Review IP-related terms and conditions in agreements, such as project and license agreements.· Manage IP portfolios, which include filing, prosecution and maintenance of patents, copyright etc, to support A*STAR in achieving research excellence and commercialisation objectives.· Work alongside with researchers, collaborators and patent agents/law firms regarding IP protection matters.· Upskill research, innovation and enterprise community in IP knowledge including copyright and patenting characteristics, concepts, and considerations through various training platforms. Job Requirements:· Degree, with preferably postgraduate Masters/PhD qualifications, in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering / Chemistry or Material Science / Computer Engineering or Computer Science / Physics / Electrical and Electronic Engineering.· Graduate Certificate in IP Law, Postgraduate Diploma or Master of IP and Innovation Management will be advantageous.· Prior experience in IP related work, in particular patent management.· Excellent time management and ability to multi-task and prioritise work while being meticulous and organised.· Strong command of language, both written and oral.· Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to identify, collate and analyse disparate sources of data before making sound recommendations.· A self-starter, independent and resourceful.· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.· High learning agility and adaptability.Company information Registration No. T08GB0002C Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs.
