The Central Project Management Office (CPMO) sited in Innovation and Enterprise (I&E) Group was setup to strengthen and standardize project management across A*STAR to improve programme and project outcomes and key results. The key objectives of the Central Project Management Office (CPMO) include:i) Setting up a PMO in each A*STAR Research Institutions (RI) and monitoring the progress of the PMOii) Phased implementation of the Project Management framework across all RIs (including future process improvements)iii) Onboarding of the A*STAR Project Management System (including development and deployment of future system updates)iv) Creating a career track to professionalize and recognize the value-add of PMsv) Supporting the PM competency training and developmentThe role of the Senior Manager / Manager (CPMO) includes, but is not limited to, the following:Support and drive the execution of strategic directions & initiatives across RIsLead, manage, plan, organize and drive execution through the project/programme life cycle from concept to completion/closureLead project scoping with internal and external stakeholders to establish communication process, define requirements, build schedules/timelines and establish clear milestones and deliverablesFacilitate good communication and alignment between cross-functional team members; foster teamwork and motivate team members Drive successful delivery of project/programme OKRs (outcome and key results) through rigor in managing risks, quality, technical delivery, scope, schedule, and budget utilizationLead and manage procurement, finance, legal challenges, and any other operational challenges critical to project deliveryDemonstrate a good level of technical understanding of bio-medical and/or engineering processes to lead teams throughout the project development cycleLead, monitor and report the progress of the multiple projects/programme status to all internal and external stakeholdersManage and implement project/programme changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables and mitigate riskProvide early warning and escalation of major risks and key issues, seek interventions to steer project back on trackManage project/programme changes and interventions to achieve project deliverables and mitigate riskEnsure process governance, project team due diligence, project management rigor and continual improvementAdministrationEnsure project documentation (e.g. project agreement, reports, etc.) is relevant, accurate, complete and audit readyGood understanding of project / programme tools and guiding RI through the processesRequirementsBachelor or Masters degree in any STEM discipline or project management related disciplineMinimum 3 - 5 years experience in leading project teams in research, innovation and/or product developmentGood analytical, problem-solving decision making and systems thinking abilitiesGood business acumen, negotiation, communications and relationship management skillsExperience in managing cross functional teams and various stakeholdersExperience in using Project Management tools and systemsPMP/ PgMP training and/or certification, Six Sigma Black or Master Black Belt certifications or IPMA Level A certifications will be advantageousCompany information Registration No. T08GB0002C Report this job advert Don't provide your bank or credit card details when applying for jobs. #J-18808-Ljbffr
