Working inAucklandwith our high-profile clients across both the public and private sectors, as aSeniorManager – Big Data Architect and Technical Delivery Lead, you’ll will work as part of a broader DnA, Advisory and EY teams develop your skills and to contribute to meaningful change for New Zealand and New Zealanders. We seek hard working, experienced and technically capable data professionals who are team players and who have ambition for themselves and the teams and clients they work with.
We are seeking people with experience of large and complex big data architecture, migrations and a good handle on core analytics and emerging technologies for this domain. Successful candidates will be client and service centric, will be experienced problem solvers and team leaders and ideally will have experience succeeding when facing significant delivery challenges or issues in the past.

Skills and attributes for successBig data platform architect and developer with expertise and experience using Azure Data Lake Store, Data Factory, Data Bricks and DevOps
Lead architecture and solutioning efforts to define and develop big data components
Analyse data growth and lead capacity/sizing activities to arrive at the most appropriate commercial and technical solution
Provide day to day technical leadership, management and mentorship to the junior members of the delivery team
Manage day to day interactions with client stakeholders as required to support the effective and efficient delivery of the project/initiative.
Assist with the planning, budgeting, and mobilisation of projects.
Translate complex technical concepts into simple communications which the business can understand.
Experienced in developing solutions focused on Big Data and Advanced analytics across diverse domains
Work collaboratively with other teams like data science and information architecture to create best fit solution for the clients
Previous experience working on large data engineering and migration programmes.
Previous experience working with data, data environments, databases, large data sets possibly in a consulting environment
Participate and lead the proposal development including the pricing strategy in line with the business’ processes
Strong problem solver, someone comfortable to challenge the status quo
Knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches)
Exceptional communication, documentation and presentation skills
Demonstrated resilience and adaptability
