Senior Management Accountant at Massey University, Manawatu-Whanganui University ServicesPalmerston NorthAn exciting opportunity has become available to be part of Massey's Financial Planning and Analysis team as ourSenior Management Accountant.Further develop your career in an environment of continuous improvement, this position can be based on either our Manawatu or Wellington campus, with a preference for Manawatu.Reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis, the Senior Management Accountant will provide back up to the Manager and contribute to Operating and Capital related activities such as budgeting, forecasting, reporting and annual planning processes. This will include items such as the Capital Asset Management (CAM) review process and compiling the Ten-Year Capital Plan. Providing high-quality financial analysis and reviewing of potential new ventures and/or business cases will also be key to this role.To be successful in this role, you will bring the following:Five years' experience working at a senior level in financial and management accounting in a reputable (preferably a tertiary education) organisationStrong communication skills (both written and verbal)Proven relationship building capabilityDemonstrable experience of working with large numbers of stakeholders.Demonstrable experience of working with large sets of complex data.Experience in writing financial reports for senior management and the board of governorsWe are looking for someone who prides themselves as being an effective, audience appropriate communicator, with the ability to provide information and messages in a way that produces clarity and impact.Massey University is a world-leading university in many academic disciplines and fields of research.
