What You Will DoAn exciting opportunity has opened for a Senior Management Accountant/Business Analyst in our Financial Services team. This role focuses on analysis of both financial and non-financial information to empower managers to make informed decisions. The utilisation of systems have streamlined many of the manual tasks such producing standardised monthly reports, allowing more time for the ‘value add’ analysis.UC has invested in a premium Reporting tool (Cognos) and has a large data warehouse with diverse information. A significant portion of this role will be focused on deriving insights from UC’s diverse information sets and distilling the key information for presentation to UC managers. This role will be supported by a Technical Reporting Analyst with extension Cognos Report writing ability so a technical background is not required.Who You AreThe ideal candidate will have:
an ability to derive insight from reports and summarise the key themes
significant forecasting experience
strong business acumen
the ability to recognise relevant income/costs for investment decisions
the ability to interpret user requirements and translate these into an easily understood report
broad knowledge of business processes and business practices
management Accounting or Business Analysis experience gained in a large organisation
proven problem solving ability
well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
membership of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand, Chartered Management Accountant or relevant work experience.
