Senior Logistics Specialist

Their Hamilton site is looking to recruit an experienced Logistics Controller to join an established team.The roleReporting to the Group Logistics Manager, you will be responsible for the logistics function for multiple sites across the business building strong relationships with external perties and key stakeholders.Your key responsibilities will include:Working closely with ocean freight providers to ensure timely delivery to customers Negotiating favourabe terms around availability and costOverseeing container loading plans to ensure they are delivered on time to client specifications Managing land transport provider relationships Liaison and control of customs export entries, port advices and validation of planned vessel loadings Consistently review site production levels vs storage levels Continuous process of improvement across the supply chain processes and systemsTo be suitable,you will have the following industry skill and expertise:At least five years' of supply chain/logistics experience A relevant tertiary qualification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work in a fast paced work environment Strong organisational and time management expertise Attention to detail and accuracy Computer literacy Ability to building effective working relationships with key stakeholdersWhat Is In it For YouIf you are interested in upskilling and career progression - this is a serious option!
