Auckland City, AucklandContractLeadership opportunity for senior commercial contracts lawyer12-month fixed term contractBased at ASB's state of the art head office on Auckland's waterfrontWe have an opportunity for a commercial contracts lawyer to lead the ASB Legal Services Contracts and Innovation Practice Area for a twelve-month period to cover maternity leave.The roleThis is a varied and challenging role that will see you collaborating with and providing legal support to a wide range of internal clients, whilst managing relevant client relationships.You will advise on regulatory issues when negotiating and drafting commercial contracts and provide legal support in relation to standard form consumer terms and conditions, outsourcing, licensing, procurement, strategic relationships, and sponsorships.ASB is market leading when it comes to technology and is forging the way with innovation. This role offers the opportunity to be part of the innovation journey and will give you the opportunity to provide legal services to areas of strategic importance to ASB.What we are looking forYou will need to be a lateral thinker who enjoys working in a collaborative way, comfortable thinking on your feet and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment. You will need to have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to build and develop effective relationships. You will be able to manage time effectively and efficiently and display initiative.
