We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Developer to join our 'Enterprise Services' Domain. As part of 'build and run' teams, we create and deliver innovative solutions to help our customers be better with money. We help deliver a range of technology applications/development services through design, development, programming, testing and maintenance of technology solutions aligned with business objectives. We also provide 'fail and fix' application support.
You will also :
Be a member of an agile team to analyse business processes, procedures and user requirements in order to establish system requirements.
Lead conversations around system and application design and contribute to the documentation around it. Collaborate with various technology stakeholders across the bank to ensure the design is in line with BNZ standards.
Ensure the application is developed to meet the business requirements in line with the BNZ standards of quality, security and performance.
Contribute to the development of support-specific documentation and ensure it evolves over time.
Resolve production incidents (through diagnosis, testing & applying fixes) for assigned applications.
Contribute to bank-wide guilds and communities of practice.
O Pukenga | About you
7+ years experience working on Java-based projects. Proven experience in Microservices Architecture with Spring Boot and Docker containers.
Proven experience deploying and supporting workloads on AWS or other cloud platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Spring IO, Spring Boot and related design.
Experience working with CI/CD and build pipelines using Jenkins.
Exposure to test automation and related best practices.
Mentoring of team members
Experience in agile and DevOps practices
Excellent team player with good analytical, strategic planning, interpersonal and communication skills.
Highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starter.
Desirable:
Experience in banking is preferable, but not essential.
Familiarity with event streaming frameworks and data pipelines.
