We bring an expert behavioural lens as a complement to other teams and capabilities.Sitting within our broader Customer Insight group, the Behavioural Insights programme applies behaviour change practices and methods to help design and test effective customer interventions. We work with other parts of Inland Revenue to support and influence change for better customer outcomes.Mo te tunga - About the roleThis role is critical to advancing the use of behavioural insights at Inland Revenue.You will be focused on the following:Leading and contributing to behavioural insights projectsDefining business problems in behavioural termsDiagnosing the drivers and barriers to behaviour, using behavioural mapping and other toolsConducting primary (e.g. observations, interviews, surveys) and secondary (e.g. literature scans) research as neededDesigning behaviour change interventions, drawing on an understanding of what works in other jurisdictionsDesigning and implementing trials, with a focus on using randomised controlled trials to determine impactReporting and communicating findingsDeveloping and maintaining important relationships across Inland RevenueWorking with the Domain Principal - Behavioural Insights, and Domain Technical Lead to identify and cultivate important relationships across the organisationSpotting opportunities where behavioural insights can contribute meaningfully to achieving organisational goalsBuilding the behavioural insights capability in Inland RevenueRunning workshops and providing support to help teams apply behavioural frameworks like EAST, BASIC or COM-B to their workCritical review to add a behavioural perspective to workBringing behavioural tools and approaches to support IR project tools and approachesTo be successful in this position you will have:an ability to deliver complex work programmes, with evidence of strong project and stakeholder management capabilityapplied experience of behavioural insights and direct experience of how it can be applied to help solve complex problems.
