You'll be a key part of helping the team reach its goals and deliver on its levels of service in the Long-Term Plan. Working alongside the Principal Implementation Advisors and Resource Management Officers in the team you will be supporting the delivery of priority regional programmes associated with wetland protection and related workstreams.More about the role:Creating guidance on key parts of legislation that can be disseminated across internal teams as well as public audiencesUpdate public-facing information such as the farmers hub webpagesLead the design and implementation programmes to educate and enable understandingCollaborate with key teams and staff to ensure best practice and essential knowledge is utilised for environmental improvements and protection.Training internal teams and supporting operational staff, including site visits where necessary.Ensuring internal systems and processes are in place for successful implementation and reporting.This is a fixed-term 12-month full-time role covering parental leave.Ideally, you'll be tertiary qualified in ecology, biology or physical science, natural science or resource management. You'll have a strong background in Resource Management with particular strengths in engagement, policy, biodiversity, or rural farm management, with in-depth experience in coordination of operational programmes. An understanding of data management and effective communications is desired.You will have a passion about making a difference in terms of environmental outcomes by working with the community and in ensuring that mana whenua aspirations are reflected in our operational programmes.Our values underpin everything we do.
