King s College is an independent Anglican coeducational boarding and day secondary school based in Otahuhu Auckland The Board Senior Leadership Team teachers and support staff are fully committed to academic excellence and providing an allround education to its students The College provides NCEA and CIE Cambridge International Examinations educational pathways Our goal is to prepare our students so that they can flourish in tomorrow s world Reporting to the Headmaster this senior role will provide all HR advice and support to the College s professional teaching and nonteaching staff The HR function is considered as an essential and dynamic element of the College s day to day operation and performance As well as HR advice this role is expected to play a full part in supporting staff in delivering world class pastoral care cultural and supporting activities As a boarding coeducational College we have a vibrant and supportive community living on campus This makes this role different and broader than the usual HR role The role will be challenging exciting busy and wellpositioned to make a constructive and appreciated contribution to the life and performance of the College The successful candidate will be an experienced Senior HR Generalist with great attention to detail and a passion for improving our new HR systems and processes He She will have experience in employee relations employment law be a highly competent recruiter and have an obvious interest in education and personal development They will be a competent coach and enjoy supporting others and bringing their skills and knowledge to managing peoplemanagement issues They will have strong empathy with the College s Anglican ethos and values
