They play a critical role in ensuring financial information is accurate, provide insightful analysis and commentary for aiding decision making and collaborate across teams in solving business problems.A unique and fascinating vacancy for a Senior Financial Markets Accountant has become available to backfill an employee on secondment in the division.About the roleIn this role you will work alongside the Senior Manager for Financial Markets Accounting in all aspects of finance support of the Global Markets business for ASB including daily P&L control, monthly financial accounting, management reporting and analysis.Also included within the role is the production of monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and annual Group Statutory and Regulatory disclosures that involve financial markets instruments and provision of appropriate analysis and commentaries to senior stakeholders including the CFO for ASB.What we are looking forSuccess in this role will be evidenced by becoming recognised as the finance business partner for the Global Markets business. We therefore seek candidates with strong financial and management accounting skills along with a general understanding of treasury instruments and exposure to banking product systems. Excellent business writing skills and experience preparing reports and papers for senior management is important.
