ASB's Financial Crime Operations team identify, assess, report and manage activity relating to fraud, money laundering and other forms of financial crime, ensuring the financial safety our customers. Our Strategy and Insights team are uniquely positioned to prevent and detect these key risks. We are currently looking for aSeniorFinancial Crime Analytics Specialistto join us, focusing primarily on AML, for 12 month contract.
We are moving ahead with our technology strategy and the Senior Analytics Specialists will have a pivotal role in our team ensuring we make the most of the exciting new tools available to us. This is an opportunity to combine traditional analytical methods with machine learning techniques, all in the name of protecting our customers.
Reporting to the AML Analytics Manager, you will take the lead in our ongoing management of financial crime transaction monitoring. This is a complex and fascinating world, where you must manage multiple stakeholder relationships, satisfying our regulators while detecting the behaviour of financial criminals. You will balance long and short term deliveries, and drive continuous improvement within the business while coaching your fellow team members.
Key to your success will be:
Demonstrated experience in data analytics (statistical modelling experience is ideal)
A background within AML/CFT or Fraud is preferable but not essential
Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills with the confidence to communicate effectively at all levels of the organisation
Strong continuous improvement mind-set with a Green Belt certification desirable
Tertiary qualification in a numerical discipline preferred
